About Our Artistic Director
Luminous Sounds is led by artistic director and violist Kimberly Musial. Kimberly and her viola have traveled the world, playing in a diverse selection of noted professional orchestras and music festivals, at famed venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Verizon Center, and under some of the world’s most renowned conductors like Kurt Masur and Andre Previn.
With this wide range of musical knowledge and experience, Kimberly built Luminous Sounds into a preeminent modern string quartet. She only chooses to work with musicians who work exceptionally well together and who practice together regularly. Kimberly leads extensive rehearsals so that Luminous Sounds is perfectly prepared for every event, whether it’s an intimate dinner party, an idyllic wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, or a corporate event for hundreds of guests.
