Adam Forman, Percussionist

Adam Forman is a New York City-based percussionist who specializes in 20th and 21st century music. He received a Bachelor of Music from Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College where he studied under Mike Lipsey, Joseph Gramley, Matt Ward and David Cossin. While at Queens, Adam performed in masterclasses for Jan Williams and Chris Froh and gave the East Coast premier of Daniel Adams Concerto for Marimba. In 2008 he performed at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Austin, Texas as a member of Talujon Percussion Quartet.  He has performed with Argento Chamber Ensemble, Fireworks Ensemble, Greenwich Village Orchestra and is an active member of IKTUS Percussion.  In 2011 he was fortunate to tour China as a member of the Manhattan Symphonie and also perform at Carnegie Hall.  In the spring of 2012, Adam worked as a showband drummer for Carnival Cruise Lines.  Recently, he has subbed as music director and percussionist at the Off-Broadway production of SISTAS the musical.  He can be seen around the greater New York area playing drums for the punk band Butterscotch Stanley.
