Featured Weddings From The 2016 Season - Part I
The Luminous Sounds team has had quite a busy 2016 season thus far. From New York City to Southold and Bridgehampton to New Hyde Park, our team has had the pleasure of working with some of the sweetest couples this year. While it is impossible to feature every single wedding that we perform for, we have a few that we will share in the coming weeks that were very special to us.
On Friday, September 2nd Heather Kolm married Peter True at the gorgeous Lombardi’s On The Sound in Port Jefferson, NY. This couple chose to have the Illuminate String Quartet perform for both their outdoor ceremony and sunset cocktail hour.
For their wedding ceremony, Heather and Peter selected the following classical repertoire…
Family & Bridal Party Processional – Canon in D (Pachelbel)
Bride’s Processional - Bridal Chorus (Wagner)
Sand Ceremony – Largo from Xerxes
Recessional – Wedding March (Mendelssohn)
For cocktail hour, the Illuminate String Quartet provided 60 minutes of contemporary hits. Selections included, “Safe and Sound” (Capital Cities), “Billy Jean” (Michael Jackson), “Livin’ On A Prayer” (Bon Jovi), “Yellow” (Coldplay), “Bad Blood” (Bastille) and many, many others.
While we were playing, guests were treated to quite possibly, the most gorgeous sunset of the entire summer and were able to enjoy it on the back deck of Lombardi’s On The Sound. Thankfully, we were able to catch the tail end as well...
Check back for our next installment of featured weddings from 2016. We also have some new and exciting news to share for the upcoming 2017 season.
